David Copeland, LMSW
Therapist · Licensed Master Social Worker
A lot of people worry therapy will feel awkward or overly formal. I want it to feel like a real conversation, where you can show up exactly as you are. My approach is conversational, practical, and free of unnecessary jargon.
Before I became a therapist I lived a full and varied life: entrepreneur, DJ, business manager, gamer. Those experiences have helped me relate to people from many different backgrounds and walks of life. In 2015 I returned to school to pursue my lifelong dream of becoming a clinical social worker, and since 2018 I've worked full time helping people with anxiety, depression, life stress and major transitions. My early training included nearly three years at Wolverine Human Services, working with adolescents.
Using CBT, I help clients navigate anxiety, depression, self-esteem, relationships, and life transitions. I also support adolescents, parents, and men's mental health, with practical tools you can use in daily life. If you're ready for change but unsure where to start, I'm here to walk alongside you.
