About us

A small virtual practice, for all of Michigan

We'd like therapy to feel like a place where you can be yourself, talk openly and feel understood. That starts with finding the right person.

Who we are

Advanced Behavioral Health is a small group practice. We work with children, teens, adults, couples and families, and every session happens by video, so you can meet with us from home anywhere in Michigan.

Between us, our team has more than 60 years of combined experience, from hospital floors to outpatient offices to years of work with kids and teens.

How we match you

Finding the right therapist isn't always easy. Our clinicians have different strengths, so when you reach out, we take time to understand what you're looking for and match you with the person who fits. Appointments are often available within the week.

How we work

Therapy is both a science and a deeply personal process. We use proven approaches and a relational, individual style to help you build insight, strengthen coping skills and shift the patterns behind stress, sadness, fear and overwhelm.

We start from your strengths, not from what's wrong. Nobody here is treated as broken.

  • Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)
  • Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT)
  • Exposure and response prevention (ERP) for OCD
  • Trauma-informed care
  • Person-centered and strengths-based therapy
  • Practical coping skills

What therapy asks of you

Therapy isn't a quick fix. It takes collaboration and consistency, from clients and, for kids, from caregivers too. But small, intentional changes in how you think, act and feel can lead to real growth, healthier relationships and more confidence.
